Trekking a difficult terrain is always associated with escape, wandering into unknown a bit of planning, lot of fun, testing your endurance and pushing forward no matter what.

Its surprising how most of these qualities is what distinguishes achievers from non-achievers yet people who might be less of an achiever in corporate life or business might still be winner on a trek because they learn to push themselves forward and really enjoy the journey.

Sarpass trek was nothing short of any of these qualities its described by many as one of the most beautiful trek offered in India and most difficult too, And the Journey of 11 days from start to finish of trek truly fitted the description. Sar means frozen lake and during winter when the trek is offered you climb to an altitude of 13800 ft and then crossing the frozen lake and then slide down the other side of pass for kilo meters ! which beats any of the joy rides offered in theme parks.

During the Journey you realize how a small world lives around the place right from people who organize the trek to the kids who line up to ask for chocolate when you cross them during trek and the innocent simple fun life the kids live on the mountains, and the breathtaking locations where the team has set up tents for you ! and whole trek is organized by Volunteers ranging from age 10 to 60 years old.

Sarpass is more of an experience of life itself and lessons learnt at Sarpass like team work, determination, keeping the mountain clean by following leave no trace policy which can be used all over the country to keep it clean !. The mountain does bring positive change in everyone.

Traveling new places unfolds new experiences and shows new side of life around world & I would love to visit Bhutan because these experiences define my life.
