What is it?

These are cuy (KOO ee), named for the sound they make. We call them guinea pigs. These are actually smaller than those raised for food in the past, but the fate of these guys will be the same. (Note that this cage also contains the little fellows who will end up on the Kiddee Menu.)

The Virgin of Candelaria, a gift from Charles II of Spain, miracles attributed to the statue. Note the monolithic construction from the sillar stone, which seems to be pretty good at withstanding earthquakes.
