Tenacity. Strength. Drive. Character. Not one but all of these traits is what it takes to achieve your dreams.
My dreams have and always will be big. I grew up longing to be someone. Someone who influences people. Someone who would be remembered by more people than just their family. Someone who could show others with big dreams, that no matter where you come from you can make it as long as you try hard enough.
Everyday I am taking steps towards fulfilling that dream of being someone. Attending college was always a necessary step towards reaching my goal. I aimed high. Pratt Institute was the place I had to be that would open doors that would enable me to realize my dream. I never thought it would happen but I made it. The classes have broadened my horizon and pushed me to explore things out side of my comfort zone heightening my capability to learn and improve my skills.
At this point in my life I am closer to being who I want to be than I ever thought I would be. Winning the Travel Scholarship would get me one big step closer to my dream. I want to see the whole world, meet as many people as possible and experience life to its fullest. I want to work for National Geographic.
