A Romantic Interlude

My photos were taken on my first Valentines Day with my partner, soon to be husband, and were taken at Sunrise on a Gold Coast beach, Australia. The photos are 100% natural and represent the natural beauty of this amazing country we live in. My partner woke me early, drove me to the coast to surprise me with this view. We weren't the only ones there to appreciate the view either, as a lone surfer wandered the beach searching for the perfect break, and a seagull flew overhead, searching for the perfect breakfast. All the while, we sat on the beach, hand in hand, watching the day unfold in a most magnificent & romantic way. Sometimes, its the most simple, natural things, that tell the most amazing stories and set the most beautiful scenes for life.

My name is Tara Downey, I'm 32 years old, from Brisbane Australia. I run my own new marketing company Angel Blue Marketing & have always enjoyed taking photographs, but have never pursued it professionally - which I would love to have an opportunity to do. I find the best photographs are those taken naturally and therefore I very rarely use photoshop. The only changes I make to around 5% of my photos is simple black & white or highlighting particular colours within. But I prefer my photos to be a true representation of the world I live in as I find this is the most magnificent way to remind myself how beautiful it is and how lucky I am to be part of it. I have had an amazing life thus far - travelled the world, successfully started my own company & I've found the hardships I've experienced (such as losing BOTH my best friend to cancer & my father to a stroke in November 2009) have only enhanced my desire to live life to the best of my ability and to work even harder to be successful and happy in all aspects of my being.
