Recently, I have found myself at a bizarre cross-roads in life. Following a major and unexpected health crisis, I find myself unemployed, still a little "broken" and trying to find my new path in life. The career I had carefully cultivated and nurtured no longer exists, and the financial comfort and ego-boosting prestige disappeared along with it. Looking to capitalize on the silver lining of my situation, I began looking for an adventure to feed my soul and to help me gain clarity in my focus. The old adage of "step outside your comfort zone" has been ringing in my ears, as it is the "comfort zone" that has kept me stuck for a long time.
Through, of all things, a Groupon, I found myself scrambling to put together my Epic Voyage that will have me visiting Northern India for the Holi Festival in mid-March, trekking through Nepal in late March, exploring the kingdom of Bhutan at the beginning of April, diving deep into the splendour of Northern India in mid-April, attending a month-long meditation and consciousness study in Chennai in Southern India in May and ending with a little R&R in Goa at the beginning of June. Epic indeed!!
