Another friendly Thanaka stall at the festival and another block of wood donated to our bag of Thanaka!

Using a grinding stone and water to rub off the bark of the Thanaka Tree producing the creme for the face. Women all over Burma apply the creme in this way every day.

The home of a poor couple who were receiving support from Thiri and alocal chief Nun. The shelter behind is their home. They care for this rescued Monkey and various flee ridden cats and dogs. They were out when we called.
