My Photo scholarship 2010 entry
Ukraine | Monday, September 13, 2010 | 5 photos
This summer I visited a city called Lviv in Ukraine. I was born there and moved to the United States at age eleven. One of the things I missed most about my homeland was the national heritage and architecture of the city. A lot has changed in seven years. I was especially surprised to find that so many private companies converted the first floors of the downtown buildings into stores. But walking through the streets of Lviv, I was inspired to take hundreds of pictures of the architecture that survived for hundreds of years. Although I spend most of my free time in Rockford, IL playing tennis, not too long ago I have made it my hobby to take pictures of things that are not easily notices such as flowers and insects. I hope I will be able to travel to a variety of different places in my future and instill the memories of my adventures in pictures.
