My Scholarship entry - What Lies Beneath the city that never sleeps.

As I got into my 20s i really honed in what it was that drove me and i discovered my passion in life, to tell stories. It didn't matter the medium, behind a lens or on the written page I finally felt like i'd found my purpose.

In pursuit of that, last December I setup an Instagram account to try and share my experiences, In the 6 months, numbers grew to more than 15,000 followers. But the true realisation came when A mother from Oregon wrote to me and said she was moved by some of the stories and pictures and only wish she could see it herself, but her age and circumstance made it difficult.

I want this opportunity so much to not only galvanise my skills but, give me insight into what it takes to be a Nat Geo photographer, a life passion of mine.

I'm very hard working, constant perfectionist, very adaptable and willing to absorb every lesson that this experience can throw at me. Oh. and some say i'm great for a laugh.. so in Greenland's isolation that may come in handy. I hope that gives a little insight into who I am and how much passion I have for not only photography but the art of storytelling.
