My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

The world is a book and those who do not travel only visit one page - a quote that I have lived by for the past 5 years. All it took was one school trip to Europe to spark my inner travel bug. Since then, I've been traveling every chance I can get. I am a Marketing student but an aspiring photographer at heart. I've been a visual person since I was a kid. Once discovered, photography became a way to channel those thoughts into concrete form. Photography eventually became a passion. I find myself framing out photos in my mind on a daily basis as I walk through the city. Thanks to the iphone, I'm able to capture these thoughts immediately if I don't have my DSLR on hand. I would absolutely be honored to embark on this incredible experience. I thrive on sharing travel photos with others. It is important for me to share my experiences and illustrate how others live throughout the world. One thing I've noticed is that we are all human, and we are all the same. We all have mutual feelings, emotions and personality traits no matter the culture. It would be an absolute pleasure to work with National Geographic on this amazing opportunity - I promise I will not let you down!
