My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Australia | Saturday, January 12, 2013 | 5 photos

I LOVE (L-O-V-E) photography it's just one of the best ways to convey to an audience how you see things through your eyes which is extended through the lens of the camera. I'm all about capturing those moments, owning them and sharing them with others.
My passion started when i was 15, on family trip we went to dubbo and i had a basic digital camera i thought of taking pics of sunrise and sunset but i wanted more and i got exactly what i wanted it was one of those right time right plce photos where i had my subject as a barb wire fence silhoutted against the paddock when i happend to notice i had also captured in the shot a fly perched on the very tip of the barbwire. 3 years later i had left the care of the minister but i was asked by my case worker if i wanted to participate in the "As Eye See It" b&w photography for kids in foster care. after submitting my six photos with captions a day before the exhibition i was asked by the childrens guardian of nsw to provide an opening speech in which i did. having finished high school last year and hearing about this great opportunity to be mentored by a proffesional with years of experience would be more than a dream come true.
