The Perigord Noir: Explored the The Senses, Appreciated thru Texture.

My Photo scholarship 2010 entry

France | Sunday, October 17, 2010 | 5 photos

The photos I shot of the Perigord Noir are pure and simple. I wanted to highlight the Five Senses and to look at them also thru texture.

Hello, my name is Andrée and I’ve been on the road a long time. I grew up in New York City and about 20 years ago moved to Paris, where I met my husband. During this time, we’ve renovated numerous houses, and sold them to pay for our grasshopper travels all over Europe as well as Africa www.bumpytours.com and www.onlindenway.com. Here is a visual description of me: http://bit.ly/iamandree

Your scholarship gives me a lot of thought as to how I could develop my photography skills, and improve my abilities to capture the images of where my future takes me.

I’ve never been to Bhutan or Asia. This is another world I have yet to experience. World Nomads / National Geographic and the professionals you work with might be a breakthrough opportunity to push my “talents” further?

I receive many compliments on my photos from around the world which is motivating considering the time involved. But I need a new challenge, something different, a new horizon.

I know this would be a great opportunity, to be invited to discover Bhutan and to spend a week learning and photographing the history, culture, people, etc. I am sure I can in turn share this experience.

My future business goal is to offer European & African photography tours where people don’t have to deal with the driving and organization, but can instead relax and focus on historical locations and find pleasure in their work.
