2,958 Meters Above The Sea in Hunt for The Moon

It is only around 10 degrees celcius here camping at the peak of Mount Gede, but harsh wind is blowing a bit agressively so we were chilled to the bone waiting for the sun to rise from the faraway sea. Thankfully, the sun turns out really exquisite with really beautiful contrast on my eyes that time.

Out from all the pictures that I managed to take of the moon, this one is the one which turned rather perfect. Being only a compact camera, I tried really hard for it to get the longest shutter speed time and with my hand not moving at all. I have to hold my breath for around 5 seconds for it to turn like this. The moon was shown to be rising from behind the wall that is the road to the peak of the mountain. It was really bright, although it may not seem as big as it should be.

Anaphalis javanica (insert italic here for latin name), or simply Javanese Edelweiss, is an exotic flower growing especially in higher regions around Java, here shown 200 meters below the peak of Mount Gede. We are very lucky to have the flowers blossoming in such fine weather with no cloud in sky.
