My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited
Brazil | Saturday, January 12, 2013 | 5 photos
I am an amateur photographer. During my university years I have studied urban design, which plays a very important part in my portfolio. In my photoseries the following topics are presented: the city architecturally, the city life and city dwellers, the social problems.
In my other project, I am focusing on the housing problems which is a direct consequence of urbainization. In the summer of 2010, I was in Mumbai and took many pictures of the Dharavi area. I had an exhibition of some of those photographs in my hometown, in Sarvar (Hungary), February 2011.
In January 2012, I organized a trip to Brazil to continue my research and analyze the world of the favelas.
I would like to continue my research project as a photographer presenting the dark side of urbanization on pure, lightly edited photos such as the population explosion, the presence of motorization and slums...
My goal is to present distant cultures, living conditions and raise awareness of social issues.
To speak with the local people, understand their feelings, their daily life. To show, how people live in the other part of the world.
On every journey I get more experience and I learn new photographic tricks.
