Looking for your sunshine? Seville will be the answer! It is one of the most incredible city I have ever been in my life! I was completely unaware of what I could find there the first time I decided to visit it! I was invited by a bunch of guys I met in a salsa congress in London (Oh yes, I am a salsa, bachata and kizomba dancer ;) and I am always going to the best events whenever I have the chance! So I said: why not? Let's go to Spain then and enjoy the dance floor!) I was not planning to visit anything but the salsa venues! Once there, I could not keep my eyes out of this "wooow"city! 27 degrees in November...sun all over the place...Amazing buildings, wonderful squares, great tapas bars, green parks, sublime atmosphere by the river "Guadalquivir" (The Big River in Arabic...in fact Arabs, Romans, Phoenician etc were implementing here their trades..), instead nowadays people come by the river just to enjoy themselves, play guitars, palms, football and dance all day! You will find an awesome night life, relaxing afternoon with their "siesta time" and late breakfast with Tostada conn tomate y jamon (toasted bread with tomatoes , olive oil and parma ham)! I literally fall in love with Seville and its peculiarities...in fact during my first visit I said to my friends that I was sure I was going to move here one day...and that was exactly what happen! I did go and visit the city other 6 times during the 3 years I was still living in Ireland and after that I just quit my permanent job, made my luggages and moved there...eager to discover more about this gem and learn its beautiful language! While living in Seville, I wore a flamenco dress at the "Feria de Abril", I followed the procession in the "Semana Santa", I had tapas and drank "canas" as all "sevillanos" do in their dreamy afternoon, I spent time in the countryside and I also went to a "capea" that is a show in the arena similar to "corrida" but here the "Toreros" do not kill the animal...and the animal is not a Bull but a cow! I am against corrida, I am sorry! So the only thing I could experience similar to it, was this "capea" to feel completely involved in their culture. Maybe some of you, my dear readers will go and will experience also a real "corrida" so you will feel more "Sevillano" than I did...but I cannot complain! I did live like them! :D What else can I add? Go and see with your eyes! I am sure you will all fall in love with SEVILLE!
