Passport & Plate - Honey Cake

Ingredients
2 eggs
100 g of butter
2 cups of sugar
2 spoons of honey
2 cups of flour
2 cups of sour cream
How to prepare this recipeFirst of all you need to be sure your in a good mood. But even if you're not the process and result will make you smile!
We will start with pastry. Blend butter with one cup of sugar and add honey. It's better to have liquid one, but what can be better than honey by itself? So basically the kind of honey doesn't matter, but it is easier for you to use liquid one. Continue with blending and add eggs one by one and flour. Now we can make pastry. Attention! It will be sticky! When the pastry is still sticky but you can take it off your hands it means the condition is perfect! Don't mind to add a bit more flour if it is necessary. Now we can start to make layers of the cake. I usually do 5 or 6 or 7... This is totally up to you how good you can roll them. Bake your layers in the oven about 5 minutes to make them golden. Put 200 Celsius.
While waiting the cake layers make the cream! This is the easiest thing ever! Just mix sour cream and anther cup of sugar. But work out hard! Sugar should melt. I like to put a bit of vanilla extract as well.
So when the cake layers and the cream are ready we can put them together! This is even easier than lasagna! Put layer than cream, layer than cream. And on the top put crumbs that left. Nuts or chocolate also suit good.
Now hide your cake to the fridge or on the balcony for a while (I usually leave it for a night) to let it soak and be the most delicious thing you have ever try before!

The story behind this recipeFirst I thought that there is no specific story behind this recipe, but than I realized that it was my first successful cake experiment. When I was 15 or 16 I wanted to know how to cook the most fabulous plates to make my family happy and full and cook something why my friends would like to visit me often. But unfortunately I wasn't successful in my plans. Everything I tried to cook was a disaster and I tried a lot: Japanese sushi, Thai noodles with shrimps, Polish tomato soup, Italian risotto... Yeah, I wanted to do something really cool! But everything I've got was unrecognizable substance... And I still remember how pity it was for me. And then I decided to try something simple, something more usual for us.
The Honey Cake is a cake that you can find in any supermarket or restaurant in Ukraine. Everybody likes it but not everybody wants to do it because it takes time. This recipe I've got from my classmate she said that I will enjoy the cake and for sure I can cook it. And you know what? I am using this recipe already 3 years and every time I love the result! I have cooked it for my parents, friends, for my grandparents, for all the parties, I even cooked it for my friend from other countries and everybody fond of it! Don't think that this cake is the only thing I manage to cook. No! After my first achievement I was cheer to cook more and more. So now all this plates from different countries not a big deal any more for me, but anyway this cake is my favorite dessert to cook, to make my beloveds happy and sure to eat!!!
