At the age of 18 at the time I finished my high school in 2002, I left for the Republic of Yemen to pursue my studies. It was my first experience of traveling outside my home country, Palestine. When I arrived in Yemen, I was met by someone from Palestine at the airport where he took me to the dorm. I woke up a little bit early next morning having no idea what to do in a place where I do not know any body. It was new culture for me even Yemeni people speak the same language I do, but, of course they have their own traditions and lifestyle which are totally different from Palestine. Therefore, in that morning I said to myself I cannot stay at the dorm do nothing. I should go tour around Sana, the capitol. Moreover, I got dressed and went out the dorm and started touring around the city on foot in order to discover the new place and culture, plus to start recognizing places of the city to take them as signs to guide me later on. It took me more than three-hour walk in some part of the city. When I have come back to the dorm, I started telling students there that I toured around the city and I know this and that through which they were surprised of what I did, despite I arrived at the city less than 24 hours earlier.
This was a little description of one of my trips to countries I visited.
