My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Photography, for me at least should be enthusiasm, passion, capturing the perfect moment, seeing with the innocent eye and curiosity of a child through view finder. I was not happy with my accounting life 6 years before, so I found an opportunity to work on ship as photographer.More then scared, I did this step because it was closer to my dream of traveling and showing to people the world through my eyes. I learned on board how to hold a camera, what is focus, how to cut or frame. Later on I have learned to shoot from my heart, and there were nights I was dreaming about the perfect shoot. But it doesn’t last…with the ship. Life on board is killing you softly and you don’t even realize. It takes the life out of you, it takes all your dreams and passions. People are seeing you like a “professional photographer”...but you know the truth. You are only a “click trigger” person. When you come out off the bubble, ship or however you like to define it, only then you realize the illusion. I am standing now in the same place I was 6 years back, the only difference is that now I know I have a lot to learn in order to become a real photographer... the journey is long, and it will never end...
