Festival - Toronto Zombie Walk

As a resident of Toronto I don't feel my home city boasts many things that are necessarily "unique" when it comes to tourism. So when I decided to enter this contest I thought it'd be neat to find something truly native to Toronto. I learned that Toronto's Zombie Walk was the first of it's kind! Thus the zombie walk became my focus.
To date I have just finished a post-grad program in broadcast journalism, but have yet to work in the field professionally. I have learned to shoot, edit and present videos, but there is still so much I am hoping to learn. Improving my videography skills is something I'd love to do.
It's always been a dream of mine to be a travel presenter and this scholarship would combine so many things that I love: travelling, videography, presenting, and experiencing new things. Getting to piece together a visual story from in front of the camera as well as behind is my absolute dream job. I also have a background in social-anthropology, and visiting a community that is rebuilding from a natural disaster is something I feel to be an important component to include in this story. All of the elements of this opportunity would be an incredible experience.
