My name is Amy Jennings. I'm 18 and have just finished high school, with good results. It is my dream to one day become a director of photography. Next year I will hopefully begin studying a bachelor of multimedia studies so I may further pursue my dreams. Through my last two years of high school, I studied Film Television and New Media. In this class I had various opportunities to learn about photography and film, while traveling to places such as Brisbane and Tasmania. Ever since I was little I have enjoyed photography, often stealing my dad's digital camera to take photos of little things that I found interesting. I would really like an opportunity to further increase my skills and knowledge in the photography field, as well as being able to use a higher quality camera. It would be an amazing experience to be mentored by such an amazing photographer such as Jason Edwards and to experience the culture and wildlife of Oman. If I won this scholarship I think my future in photography and film may be more successful and I may be able to get my foot into the door of the industry faster and easier.
