My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Australia | Thursday, July 4, 2013 | 5 photos

At 7yrs I first proclaimed I wanted to be a photojournalist for the National Geographic. It was a school project, to write a CV for my dream job, it hasn't changed.
I received my first SLR for my 16th & haven't looked back since.

My strength is in my ability to connect with people of all ages & places. I've a special interest in documenting the positive aspects of different cultures, with the intention of portraying what works in community. Where we fit as human beings on our planet, and who we are as individuals.
I feel my way through photography, dropping into the moment with an inner focus, the creativity comes. The most significant times in my life are the moments that I have recognised the extraordinary in the ordinary.
This year, I had an exhibition of travel images. An incredible experience, listening to peoples feedback of my work, constructive & humbling. I have a strong work ethic & always push myself to go that bit harder.

Now with more of life's experiences behind me, I feel I have prepared myself for the ultimate goal.
I want to know in my heart that I have given my life long dream the best shot I can.
My passion is high
I am hungry to learn
I am ready!
This is my time.
