185 empty chairs - a temporary art installation reflecting the 185 lives lost in the earthquake on 22 February 2011. Visitors are invited to select a chair they are drawn to and take a seat to reflect.

A city closed for business – 6 months after the February 2011 earthquake the Christchurch City Council offices were found to be structurally intact but missing stairways to carry workers between floors and their view blocked by the sheets of plywood replacing broken windows has left the building awaiting repair when its city needs it most.

Urban construction oasis - an inner city vacant lot left empty by a demolished building sees earthquake rubble and building ruins turned into an urban oasis of outdoor seating for meeting up with friends or reflecting on a city and lives lost.
