My name is Aoife, a travelling cello-playing foodie fanatic, zumba zealot and social scientist! I am studying for a PhD in cultural studies, King's College London. However, I often consider this role secondary to my calling as a world nomad: this year alone I have travelled to Marrakesh, Vienna, Limerick and Lisbon.
I consider myself to be a highly organized, inquisitive and creative individual. As a musician and keen cook, I dwell in the realm of sensations. In this vein, I treat each new place as an amalgam of idiosyncratic sights, sounds, colours and scents. As an academic, I am a meticulous planner, which enables me to make the most of every trip. However, I write with an exuberant flair and nuanced sensitivity that goes beyond dry textbooks. Travel writing is where my heart really lies.
