El Mundo
I don't travel as much as I want nor I travel as much as I can.
When I travel, however, I enjoy every second of it. The good and the bad things, the amusing and the boring ones. Everything is new and novelty keeps me alive.
Holbox, a quiet place.

Life has a way of changing without warning.
One moment everything seems perfect and the next we're falling and desperately holding to anything familiar.
More often than not, we can't pinpoint the moment those changes started. Others, it is clear as day.
For me, Holbox was one of those moments.
I first heard of Holbox because of my father, who mentioned the place in passing. The idea of a small, fishermen's island with a handful of activities didn't seem attractive until much later, when a friend from the US asked me to go with her. Excited about the prospect I did what seemed logical at the time: I learned to dive.
My friend cancelled at the last moment and I had to go with my parents. Little did we know that during the trip my father started his long, and successful, battle against cancer.
I've learned a lot since that trip and the most important thing I've discovered is something I always doubted I had: Fortitude.
I learned to brave new obstacles and face some of my deepest fears not because I had to but because I wanted to, because I knew I had it in me.
I used to give up on things I wanted before even trying. Not anymore.
Now I know there's nothing worse than not trying.
