I am an experimental self-taught amateur photographer who has held an intrinsic passion for photography from my pre-teens. My true passion lies in the stories which are laid throughout the Earth. I have always had one dream of learning how to tell these stories through the eye of the camera, an idea which I feel is paramount to the art of photography. Having learnt through YouTube how to adjust settings and pull some life into the image, the opportunity to have someone like Jason Edwards to pass on wisdom from the professional realm of travel photography would be absolutely beyond my wildest dreams. Also, having never left Australia, the experience abroad would deepen my knowledge and experiences in both photography and life beyond the majesty of my home country. With the life-changing technical and emotional guidance from such a successful artist, I feel that I could better find the story within my subjects throughout my career, showing the true-ness of my subjects and enlightening others to the art of finding the story. I hope to pass on the knowledge I learn during the assignment to others as passionate as I, who might not have received the same opportunity as I.
