The Night Markets are not only about craftwork and beautiful lights but are a celebration of international food. The queues for this particular delicacy, a popular South Korean street snack, are at a minimum 20 minutes long, But they are worth the wait, and I wanted to show the twist potato as a food of the people with this image.

This lovely gentleman hand makes all of the puppets in his store and his love and care for them is immediately evident. I’m proud of capturing his little hidden smile, revealing his pride for his workmanship.

This jar of honey played a part in another section of the market: the drinks. The honey in this jar was used in the espresso martinis served by baristas. I was fascinated by the way the light hit the golden liquid and the jar was beautifully old fashioned. For me this shot, epitomizes that colour of summer – golden sunshine.
