    These two gorgeous ladies were the proud owners of a market stall selling fairy wings, children’s dresses and crazy jewelry. I loved their outfits, in that they perfectly matched their amazing stall and that although their styles were different to each other, I adored their use of colour. I don’t believe an image has to be dark and gritty to be outstanding, and that is why I gravitate to colourful scenes and colourful characters, like these beautiful ladies. Views[620] This jar of honey played a part in another section of the market: the drinks. The honey in this jar was used in the espresso martinis served by baristas. I was fascinated by the way the light hit the golden liquid and the jar was beautifully old fashioned. For me this shot, epitomizes that colour of summer – golden sunshine. Views[419] The Night Markets are not only about craftwork and beautiful lights but are a celebration of international food. The queues for this particular delicacy, a popular South Korean street snack, are at a minimum 20 minutes long, But they are worth the wait, and I wanted to show the twist potato as a food of the people with this image. Views[377] This lovely gentleman hand makes all of the puppets in his store and his love and care for them is immediately evident. I’m proud of capturing his little hidden smile, revealing his pride for his workmanship. Views[418] The Victorian Markets, affectionately known as the Vic Markets, host Night Markets every Wednesday in Summer and this year I got the opportunity to be the official photographer for one of those nights. It was one of the most rewarding photographic experiences of my life to date – being allowed to photograph hand made beautiful objects up close and in detail. These beautiful lights have always fascinated me and remind me of living in Thailand. Views[417]
