Things that go bump in the night

The first domestic sojourn (recorded only as an opportunity for trial and error of the blog before any real travel is undertaken) is a weekend trip to Oberon and Bathurst in central NSW, west of the Blue Mountains. The 2.5 hr drive via Goulburn turned out to be quite a bumpy adventure: which ended with a bang! And a big dent in my front fender after a collision with a kangaroo. :( Luckily the car will be fine, and it shouldn't take much to repair the dent.

Saturday morning was spent at the kids' footy in Bathurst (my first trip to Bathurst!) but sadly it was too foggy to catch any glimpses of Mt Panorama. We stopped on the way home at the O'Connell Ave Cafe in O'Connell which served up some delicious brekky. Then the rest of the weekend was spent hanging out with the kids, cows and pigs! And lounging by the fire...
