My Big Adventure
Why Turkey
I am sure it is not only me. Yes, one of the place that I always dream come to visit is Turkey. I always curious why this place have mentioned in world history along millenniums. Then, I learn this area has its own contribution to shape our world today. And for me, Turkey is like the central of the world, connecting the East and the West. The melting pot of many cultures and blended those beautifully, but ones can still recognize its uniqueness.
I imagine to stand on its coast, imagine its water witnessed the big battle. Walk through the ancient toll way, the entrance to every era that lead us to modernity.
But basically, major things that arise my curiousity is why and how many cities in this country not only mentioned but as books in bible's new testament. Even the first inhabitants, Hitties, were mentioned in old testament.
For centuries, this area was shaped by great empires that lead to Turkey's empire that one of the strongest in its time. It is amazing.
Visiting Turkey, will not only be a big adventure for me, but likely a pilgrim for me to witness knowing how our modern civilization was built and put new significant perspective to build new understanding among people.
Along its history, visiting Turkey, will give me a bigger vision, like its motto: "Peace At Home, Peace In The World", all of us is a pilgrim, in the effort to find a home, a peace.
