Pisa

We all slept in this morning, but Paul was determined to have his photo taken with the leaning tower, so off we set, cameras in hand.
The trip over wasn't so bad, passed about 30km of these amazing tree farms just out of Pisa, which were awesome, every kind of tree at nearly every stage of growth, meticulously maintained and pruned.
We caught sight of the tower and the Battista, such an iconic sight. Found a park with ease, and got out of the car to a 32 degree heat. Walked directly to the Tower, Edna's first comment was 'oh...I thought it would lean more than that'!!! So, reveling in our tourism status, we lined up with all the other mugs and had our photo's taken. Please refer to pics! So after some tacky souvenir purchasing and the obligatory gelati, we set off for home.
Went over to the wine bar where we are staying to do some wine tasting. Tasted some fine wine made here, but was most impressed by the honey, was like nothing we have ever tasted before, we dipped our Pecorino in it, taste sensation. The olives were great also, they were green and even Sharon like them. Enquired how much it would cost to send home a few bottles....yeah maybe not. Was quoted 135 euro for 6 bottles for just the postage. Sorry guys...no wine for you!!
