My name is Alain Peter Lim, 33 years old. I am from the Cebu City, Philippines.

Every single shot is a once in a lifetime instance. And so I see photography as capturing moments and not photos. I spend my weekdays in a business process outsource industry specializing in webhosting and live my weekends up in the diversified mountains of the Philippines. Being Out in the wild gives me the best reason to sustain my job and look forward to each interesting weekend getaway. I am fascinated with how each terrain gives me a different experience and how tribes and local communities uniquely live around rivers, volcanoes, valleys and plateaus. I don't take photos the from afar. There is no better way to get my story but be part of the moment. I immerse and experience the culture myself. This is when I capture the moments that I can only live once. There is a bigger world out there and I am ecstatic to continue living in a culture I have not belonged to yet. The scholarship is a chance, just like any shot, I don't want to miss.
