My Scholarship entry - 2 wheels and a lens.

I graduated recently and have been informed that it's about time I decided what I should do. I have been frequently told 'Do what you love.' 'Follow your passions'. Yeah right, like I could just spend my time travelling and taking photos. This competition opens a door I hadn't even dreamt about.
Beyond the enjoyment of capturing a scene and compelling some kind of emotion in a photo I love to play with the warmth of colour of an image. The ability to frame a scene with a certain range of colours is the equivalent of playing the piano in minor or major key. Though Jason Edwards loves them I haven't spent much time in black and white (it definitely takes a professional to make it look classy), I'm always playing with colour. And colours are brightest when you travel. Traditional dress in China, tulip fields in the Netherlands, spices in the Grand Bazaar, the horizon in Australia, but I'm pretty sure few will match the colours of the Amazon.
I hope to combine this with my passion of adventure sports to capture the great climbers, skiiers and mountaineers so I'm aiming to develop my skills in engaging with movement with my lens.
