First stop: Belgium

After spending 5 days in London staying with friends of friends (everyone become a bestie when you are travelling) my friend hannah and I caught the Eurostar over to Brussels. Because the cheepest tickets were for 7.30am, we had to get up at 5.30 and rush all the way to waterloo station. Luckily, we made it and the trip was great. Brussels at first seemed cold and a little dirty, but once we got to the main place it was beautiful. We ended up in a beer museum, where we met a fellow Australian and spent the rest of the day drinking beer and being taught about the fine art of beer making in belgium. Luckily for us, this guy was pretty knowledgeable! Then we moved on to Gent, a great little town which we are recommending to everyone we meet. It is much nicer than Brugge and Antwerp, the two cities we visited after Gent. Overall, Belgium is a great place with a really lovely vibe and friendly people. I would definitely go back, particularly to Gent, where we discovered a great little bar right near our hostel and a guy who reminded me a little of Jude law. Yes, Gent had many things going for it! Amsterdam is the city we are in at the moment, and so the next adventure is yet to begin! xx
