I am a sophomore studying photojournalism at the University of Florida. I am an avid photographer and explorer. I've backpacked through Europe this past summer for a photojournalism study abroad program and will be backpacking Central America as a photograpy intern for the Miami Herald. My dream is to do what you do! Travel the world and explore other people, places, culture, foods and document it all. It is something I have immersed myself in since I began my journey as a photographer. Photography is something you live by, we are historians capturing human development throughout our modern day history.
I want to learn all that I can, I strongly believe that the most learning is done outside of the classroom when it comes to our field. Experience is key for this kind of work. You can never stop learning from others and to learn from the best would be an honor. I hope you consider me for this scholarship I work as hard and would truly cherish every bit of it.
