My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

My name is Alessandro Sonnati and I live in Tuscany. I am an architect, but photography is my real passion since I was nine years old. My final year thesis was on Pinhole Photography and I made self-build cameras for the occasion. Over the years I have pursued with strong passion this sort of obsession. Photography has the power to make feel free and happy; I have always been fascinated by the idea of capturing the different nuances of a multifaceted and fascinating life through the lens of my camera. Feelings and emotions, but also information, are somehow immortalized thanks to this amazing device.
My other principal passion is travelling: a means of freedom, knowledge and discovery. Last but not least, Art and Sport are for me indispensable to sharpen my senses and my soul.
In general, I am a very dynamic person, easily adaptable, curious with a strong love for life.
It would be wonderful for me being selected for the trip to Oman. Being in contact with professional photographers, doing what I’ve always loved the most, it wouldn’t just make this experience unforgettable and unique, but it would also give me the chance to put into practice this huge passion.
