Life as we go on

Venezuela will always run in my veins

UNITED STATES OUTLYING ISLANDS | Friday, 10 June 2011 | Views [157]

Have you ever looked back and think about how the things used to be? This is how my story begins, with a little girl in a perfect world. The country was Venezuela, the city? Maracaibo. There was a time when the sun was perfect and life was good, everybody used to be friends with everybody and you wouldn't even think about someone killing a fly or about contaminated water because that just didn't exist. As she grew up, the little girl started to watch things in a different way. A tyrant was trying to conquer the world while ruling her beautiful country and people was happy, but something was about to occur. Life stopped being perfect, days became gray and the little girl stopped smiling. “Daddy, why are the kids walking under the rain without shoes? Why did you stop saying hi?” the girl wonder every single day. Her parents were worried; the neighbors were always sharing the bad news and suddenly the newspaper started to make tons of money by selling the worst pictures of the worst murders in the history of the country. Nobody could be in the streets after certain hours and food was scarce for the people. It was sad to see how everything little by little decayed. Little girl escaped, but many had to stay, Venezuela became nothing. This is a real life story about how a beautiful country fell into ruins thanks to a bad president. Just a few people know the actual truth and I think this can open the eyes of many individuals to see what’s going on, this is one of the many reasons of why I think my story should be elected.
