These photos were taken by me in January 2011 when I went on a family vacation to Naukuchiatal,a remote hill station situated near the famous hill station of Nainital in Uttarakhand,India.Naukuchiatal is not known to the conventional tourists as they mostly prefer to go to the nearby popular hill stations like Shimla,Kullu-Manali,Ranikhet,Nainital etc.During my four day stay there,I got to do kayaking for the very first time and the man assisting me said that I was very quick at learning and that too when I was doing it solo! The place is full of breathtaking natural beauty and fresh clean air and one can do a whole lot of fishing too, though I preferred to not indulge in such an activity as it would only mean ruining the existing ecosystem.Though it is a hill station and it was January, the sun did shine on us gloriously and I was able to take some great photographs with well, just the natural light!
Now something about me. Well Iam a 19 year old engineering student from Bangalore. All my life I have lived in different states in the country because my father is such an unsettled human being by nature! He just can't stick to one job or one place,so now you can decipher where I get this passion for travelling from!We as a family travel to different conventional and non conventional tourist places around the country every year! With this contest I can see myself travelling which is my passion and capturing the surroundings around me with my camera which I so love to do and presenting it to millions of people the way I see it! Getting mentored by Jason Edwards can certainly open new avenues for me and I can become a professional traveller and photographer...a thing I have always dreamt of...to make the world my home and my pictures the window to this world!
