INDIA | Sunday, 4 May 2014 | Views [189] | Scholarship Entry

I will never forget the day when two lovers hung themselves on the Ceddrus tree after their parents and relatives opposed their marriage becaause they were both of different castes.

Once upon a time in a village about 300 KM away from the heart of Jammu and Kashmir. Two young lovers fall in love with each other and they started dating with each other in the thick forests of pine trees. One day their parents got to know about their relationship and they decided of marrying the girl as early as possible. But she keep on refusing, finally no one came to their side and the couple decided to keep complete the customs of hindu marriage and they took 7 circumambulations around the Hawan as done in marriage and then they made two nooses and hung themselves and ended up and kept one letter for their parents that we have married and we are going together to heaven. When they were about to cremate what happened is unbelievible both the pyres got succumbed and finally they had to be burnt in only one pyre together.
