Ottawa: A Capital Gem

I'll never forget the day that I first arrived in Ottawa...
It was like being in a big city and a small town at the same time. Coming from a town of no more than 3,000 people entering Canada's capital was a tad scaring until you arrived.
The city is a history book. Every street has it's own story to tell and each person you meet is there to offer said stories. From the many amazing museums and art galleries to the Byward Market to the many unique stores and pubs, Ottawa offers it all.
When you first arrive to Ottawa driving along the highway, you see the Ottawa skyline, filled with both modern and historic buildings. Parliament Hill, the Chateau Laurier, the Lord Elgin Hotel, are just some of the many castle-like buildings in the modern day city.
Ottawa is also home to many festivals and events, from Poutine Fest (yes, a festival all about poutine), to BluesFest, to the famous tulip festival.
Ottawa is a place for the young, the old, the partiers, the artists, the business folk, the event junkies and everyone in between.
