Life's Diversities Discovered

MALAYSIA | Thursday, 8 May 2014 | Views [193] | Scholarship Entry

I flew to Malaysia last year to work as an accountant for a huge oilfield exploration firm. But more than work, I have made new discoveries about people, food, culture and life. It is truly an enriching experience as I live on my own and explored this new environment.

I worked for a multinational company. And when I say multinational, I mean fifty different nationalities in a single office. I really got to see different personalities. It is really nice to get to know people with other culture and beliefs. However, I also need to adapt to a working environment which is quite hostile. Luckily, I have adjusted and got used to it.

Flying away from home is such a liberating experience. I am really thankful for all the experiences and everything I learned from it. Now I can say I am more independent and more willing to explore new facets of life.
