My Scholarship entry - After a fire at The Green Bear

I was diagnose with cancer just over 2 years ago and lost my job due to the illness. To take my mind off everything I returned to college to learn how to use a camera I had just bought. I am now in my second year of a 3 year degree course and hope to gain a BA by the end of the 2015/16 academic year. I am hoping to work for an organization like National Geographic, as well as this I want to visit missionary work around the world and help to document and publicize the great work they are doing.
Winning this competition would give me an insight into this type of photography. It would give me the chance to see first-hand everything that makes up the professional side to this environment and how to set up this type of shoot. At present this is something I want to do but have no real idea as to want is actually involved. Winning and being involved in this would be the final piece to the puzzle, giving me everything I would need to know to carry on in a positive direction.
