My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

I am so passionate about the African wildlife that I recently started my own African Safari business in Western Australia, where I offer guided Safaris. I was born and lived most of my life in Africa. So, I know most of the beautiful spots Africa has to offer. However I lack the ability to convey the message through my photos. If I get chosen for this assignment it will help me improve my business because of the fact that people would want to go there based on the story "MY OWN" photos tell. As a child I used to build hides next to waterholes on our game farm to see how close I can get to the wildlife to be able to take some photos of them drinking water. I am not entering the competition to get a free trip, I am travelling to Africa about 6-8 times per year. My entry is totally based on my eagerness to learn from Jason in order to improve my skill. The photos attached is of a safari I did in April 2011 in East Africa to get photographic material for the purposes of marketing my safaris here in Western Australia. I recently bought a Canon EOS 60D and a 150-500mm Sigma OS HSM lens.
Ps: I will love to be part of the National Geographic team because one of my biggest dreams is to be a Photographer for National Geographic. This will be one of the pinnacles of my life.
