Visitors to the Killing Fields would often leave bracelets and pendants in memory of those who were lost in the genocide. This bamboo fence surrounded a mass grave of 450 people.

This former high school was converted into a prison for all the innocent civilians to be held here before their execution at one of the various killing fields in Cambodia by the Pol Pot Revolutionaries.

Many of the mass graves were excavated, with hundreds more still uncovered. Skulls are used for the main purpose of data collection and identification. Many of the skulls were found with holes and cracks in them from the various inhuman execution methods.
