My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

When taking pictures, I’m not planning much or constructing the image, I go with my heart and feelings. I’d like to watch in silence and capture the moments that tell the most of the story. I’m from a small country where a lot of people are still not very friendly to something that is too foreign. As far as I experienced, all hate and disrespect is based on fear and fear is usually from the unknown. If we know and understand more, we fear less and we love and respect more. As much as photography and media can be abused, they can bring understanding and respect among different cultures.
And that is what I would like to do through photography, to tell stories, open the eyes and hearts, bring more understanding, to see and share what we have in common when respecting the beautiful diversity. My great wish is to have opportunities to get deeper under the surface, to learn from somebody who has been doing this for some time. Not just about people stories but also about the environment and nature and how interconnected everything is. I would like exploring and seeing through photography to be my opportunity and life journey.
