stepping into the unknown

This subject was inspired by my curiosity of alternative living, especially in Berlin, which is a city renowned for it's alternative culture.

My experience so far, that is a broad question. Well travelwise I've recently (past 2 years) been through India, Russia and eastern Europe. I've been finding work, couchsurfing and if the need arises hitchhiking to reach my next destination. It has not been conventional travel but it's been a wonderful learning experience for me. As for film, I've been passionate about film since I was fourteen (especially documentary). I've completed a Bachelor Degree in Film and Screen Media and have always worked on film projects (www.adamfinney.com).

My ambition as a filmmaker is to create films which connect people and inspire. Films where we can sit at home and look into the lives of others and feel a sense of empathy, where we no longer fear what we don't understand but relate in a deep way to the story we're are watching and feel positive. I believe that only through understanding can we unite as a world and overcome our problems and I hope that my work as a filmmaker will in some way contribute to a healthier, united and better world.
