It's Saturday night before we leave for the trip of a lifetime and I just found the perfect name for our journal. Welcome to Mango and Sticky Rice!
In about 4 days, we will board a 14 hour flight to China. After fulfilling our required student duties there (shadowing doctors in Chengdu and Shanghai), we will be set free! The plan is then to explore Thailand and SE Asia before heading to India and Sri Lanka. The way we figure it, after getting out of a 3 1/2 year master's program and before becoming business owners in the DC metro area, this is the time to live it up because we may never get time again. Kinda joking ... kinda not. Either way, we hope you'll study herbal medicine with us in China, island hop with us in Thailand and study Buddhism with us in India.
I'm Jackie (Mango ... a name my sister will appreciate) and my girlfriend/partner-in-crime/twin flame/co-blogger is Janaye (Sticky Rice ... she's the asian one).
