Italy’s Golden Riviera

ITALY | Tuesday, 6 May 2014 | Views [164] | Scholarship Entry

At first sight, it may seem hard to believe that such a small region can harbour so many treasures for sun-thirsty tourists. Liguria is a place of opposites. The
belle époque resorts, built in the same style as those from Cannes and Monaco, with fine sand, palm trees and elegant terraces, meet pine fo rests to the south, where villas typical of the Mediterranean region stand on tall hills and cliffs on the very edge of the sea.
Let yourself tempted by a sun-filled vacation in Liguria, one of the smallest and most beautiful regions of Italy, which stretch es down the Mediterranean coast from the famous French Riviera to Tuscany.
The climate was gentle with the shores of this region, blessing them with eternal spring. This is one of the reasons why the re sorts have always been packed with tourists. Liguria is like a garden on the seashore, which faces luxury hotels and yachts or, quite the contrary, colourful houses and fishing boats. Local chefs will welcome you with fish-based meals of typical Italian flavours, as well as famous wines made from grapes ripened under the Genoa sun.
Your vacation can start anywhere you want. All you have to do is choose between the luxury hotels with elegant beaches and the traditional atmosphere
of Northern Italy, with rocky beaches and bays of crystal water

Exclusivist Tourism on the Riviera dei Fiori

From stylish beaches, which lure you with the fragrance of the sea, to coastal cities, covered in gardens and flowers, Riviera dei Fiori is full of life. Luxury yachts are a permanent presence in the harbours, which are crowded with tourists who come here for the mild sun and the cities with evergreen gardens. Among olive trees, lemon trees and vine, stylish villas line up towards the shore. And, as if the beauty of nature was not enough, the Riviera dei Fiori draws stylish tourists with its special locations: theatres, museums, medieval constructions and ruins of the great Roman Empire, all in one place. You only need to choose the place where you want to stay a while.
