Our first journey outside of our hotel in bangkok was to MBK. WOW - I have never ever been more intimidated by a shopping mall in my life. We had a final meal at khoa san rd. The next day we went with a few of the people left from our tour to the tiger temple where we pet tigers and took pictures with them. We also saw the bridge over the river kwai - snooze fest- and a floating market. That night we got on an overnight train to chiang mai- it was a magical train where beds with really nice sheets magically appeared, sooo much better than vietnams trains. Currently in Chiang Mai spending 4 days- the longest we've stayed anywhere so far.

Wow, petting tigers. I hear the bridge over the river kwai is so small and nothing like it was portrayed in the movie. Your trip does sound exciting, and awesome. Love, Grandpop
