My name is Abril Marin Barruecos, I'm from Mexico City but I live in Costa Rica for about 9 years. Since I remember my parents travel constantly, with my brother and me, from Mexico to Costa Rica. Right now I am 20 years old and I'm on the first year of photography carrier on the "Universidad Tecnica Nacional"
I'm very pleased to have the opportunity of participate in this scholarship because it’s a great chance to learn from a professional photographer such as Jason Edwards. Also, I think that as most of the photographers (students or professionals), National Geographic is and has been since I was a teenager a source of inspiration and a way out of habit.
I'm eager to learn as much as possible!
About the photos I'm publishing, all of them where taken on Costa Rica in different scenarios, such as beach, forest even a cemetery. Costa Rica is recognized almost all of the times as a ecologic rain forest country, and it is, but I take this photos in order to present different faces of this country.
