Venice is a spectacular destination full of romance, mystery and intrigue with an abundance of sights, smells and sounds to enlighten all your senses. In my photo story I have tried to capture some of these feelings and sights that make Venice quintessentially Italy.
From the moment you start walking through the maze of alleys and side streets that fill Venice city you are captivated by the mystery that surrounds each corner whether it be a cute little café or restaurant to art, fashion or history.
Romance is definitely in the air in Venice with the Gondolas graciously drifting down the canals with couples snuggling up and enjoying one of the most romantic scenes in the world.
The markets that fill the many squares are a picture of colour and noise with tourists stocking up on essential souvenirs and gifts. Little do some know that the islands that surround Venice city are a hub for glass blowing and irresistible creations.
After an exciting day of exploring Venice you always seem to end up at St Mark’s square enjoying the atmosphere and watching the world go by while you sip on a freshly ground Italian espresso.
Well I hope you enjoyed my snapshot of Venice and that my pictures demonstrate to you my passion for photography. I would love to learn from Jason Edwards, shadowing one of National Geographic’s most respected photographers gaining invaluable advice on all technical elements of capturing the perfect shot.
I enjoy the outdoors and adventure, regularly planning hiking trips with my brother to destinations not sought after by the normal camper. My photography has been a long passion of mine as I enjoy capturing life’s moments and candid scenes creating an artistic twist on what would be classified as normal.
