My Scholarship entry - Capturing the Transience

In this fast paced and information heavy world, my camera lets me capture the beauty in those simple and transient moments that would otherwise be lost and go unnoticed forever. It is these moments that I want to share so that I can inspire and motivate those around me. I am forever driven to capture the moment where the all-encompassing picture is truly worth the 1000 word story behind it.

I am an engineer on a 2 week “ON” and a 2 week “OFF” schedule. This unique opportunity has allowed me to pursue my childhood desire of travelling and cement my love of photography. Seeing and visualizing a story through my DSLR has changed my perspective on life and has taught me to truly think outside the box even while confined within the limits of my viewfinder.

I definitely feel like I am at a fork in my walk of life where I am ready to take the path less travelled by making my hobby that I am so passionate about my future career.

The physical, mental and emotional challenge that this scholarship presents is exactly the kind of story I want to tell. Winning this scholarship will definitely be the confidence boost that will spearhead me into the journey that I am about to embark on.
